------------------------------------------------------
Competitors will be randomly paired up & bracketed before theÂ
race begins by Watchman.
Each pair will be racing against each other and theÂ
winner of that bracket will be determined by theÂ
quickest time. The winner of each bracket will advance
to the next bracket.
The event time keeper(the Watchman) will call eachÂ
racer onto the course by saying "Racer (name), you are
cleared to enter the SASFRAS Course,Good Luck!", atÂ
which time the racer will fly to the starting gate.
Time will start when the racer has passed through theÂ
starting gate. Also the racer must turn smoke on &Â
announce "Smoke on" as they are entering the course.Â
Failure to do either of these will result in a time
penalty for each violation.
Â
The racer will navigate the course as quickly andÂ
correctly to have their time ended at the Finish gate.
Smoke being turned off, followed by the announcementÂ
of "smoke off" will symbolize the successfullÂ
completion of the course at the finnish gate.
Each racer's time will be computed immediately afterÂ
the completed run and announced by the Watchman.
The second competitor, of the pair, will be calledÂ
onto the course in the same manner as the first.
The Great Pumkin Grande Prix
Â
1.  All pilots will take off & assemble to the SW. Once in the holding area, each racer will be called to theÂ
starting gate, which will be the SE pair of hangars. These will not be on fire, but an altitude restriction will beÂ
a reasonable height BETWEEN these hangars. Our pilot must turn smoke on & announce "Smoke on". This willÂ
start the clock running.
Â
2.  Once thru the Starting gate, the racer will proceed to the 1st pumkin marker. Our fearless racerÂ
needs to perform a right360 degree turn around the flaming ammo bunker to the E.
Â
3.  Proceed to the gate to the NE where the racer must perform a thursting knife-edge manuever through the gate
formed by the bomber hangar & vehicle hangar.
Â
4.  The next pumkin marker is the ammo bunker immediately NE of the hangars. Stay left & executeÂ
another 360 degree turn to the right.
Â
5.  Keepin to the right of the fuel depot, that is our next pumkin marker, the racer need to expertly perform a
left 360 degree turn to set up for more pumkin markers.
6.  Pumkin marker #5 will be farthest fuel depot to the NW and will require the racer to make a right 360 degree
turn.
7.  For the 6th and final pumkin marker, it will take a nerves of steel kinda pilot  to accomplish yet one more 360
degree turn to the left.
8.  Just when you thought is was safe to leave the course,,,*insert Jaws theme*, you have arrived at theÂ
,,*dun-dun-da*,, turn-around point. This fuel depot to the SW will be where the master of all aerobatic feats
(that's you) will stay to the left and flat turn to the right to,,,,*dun-dun-daaaaaa*,,,,run the course in re-
verse. Â Â Â Â Muwahahahahahaha!Â
Â
6.  At the finish gate, our brave pilot must turn off the smoke & announce smoke off. This action will stopÂ
the clock.
Â
7.  After penalties have been added in, the pilot that was on the course will be told their time.
