Battle in the Balkans: Operation Marita
Operation Marita encompasses the Italian and German invasion of Greece that began in late 1940 and ended in mid-1941. This invasion includes many participating militaries. The Allies include the Hellenic Air Force of Greece, Royal Air Force, and Royal Yugoslavian Air Force of Yugoslavia. The Axis include the Regia Aeronautica of Italy and the Luftwaffe of Germany.
This FSO will focus on the campaign during the month of April 1941, as the Axis push down from Bulgaria into Yugoslavia and Greece.
